President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has announced free rides on MRT-3, LRT-1, and LRT-2 from April 30 to May 3 in celebration of Labor Day.
He said the initiative is a small gesture of appreciation for Filipino workers’ dedication and contribution to national development.
The Presidential Communications Office confirmed the rides will be free all day during the four days.
The Department of Transportation and rail operators have been directed to ensure smooth and safe operations.
This move is part of the government’s broader commitment to support workers through programs, wage reforms, and inclusive economic policies.
