Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla said the Philippine government has not received a formal copy of the alleged International Criminal Court (ICC) warrant of arrest for Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa.
He clarified that neither the DFA, DILG, PNP, nor the Center for Transnational Crimes has been officially notified, despite claims by some individuals of seeing a copy.
Dela Rosa, former PNP chief, was a key implementer of Duterte’s controversial war on drugs, which led to allegations of crimes against humanity.
The senator has stopped attending Senate sessions since November amid reports of an impending ICC arrest order, while authorities continue to monitor his movements.
Remulla stressed that until a formal warrant is presented, the alleged arrest remains unverified.
