Filipinos abroad can now enroll their devices for internet voting until May 7, according to the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
Chairperson George Garcia announced that registered voters wishing to use the Online Voting and Counting System (OVCS) at 77 Philippine Embassies and Consulates can sign up on ov.comelec.gov.ph/enroll.
So far, over 55,000 Filipinos have enrolled, with internet voting being available 24/7 for added convenience.
While Garcia confirmed that voting has started for those using automated machines at 16 overseas posts, he stated that the names and numbers of those who have voted will not be disclosed.
Overseas voters will cast their ballots for national positions, including 12 senators and one party-list group.
