The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced that the first group of 376 Filipino pilgrims arrived in Madinah on Tuesday to begin their Hajj 2025 pilgrimage.
The annual Hajj will occur from June 4 to 9, attracting millions of Muslims worldwide to the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.
Upon arrival, the pilgrims were warmly welcomed with fragrant roses, Ajwa dates, and refreshments provided by the DFA Hajj teams.
Philippine officials, including Ambassador Raymond Balatbat and Consul General Rommel Romato, greeted the delegation alongside representatives from the Saudi Ministry of Hajj.
The DFA highlighted the strong partnership between the Philippines and Saudi Arabia, ensuring a safe and spiritually meaningful Hajj experience for Filipino Muslims.
