The Philippines will resume issuing electronic visas (e-Visas) to Chinese nationals starting in November, as part of efforts to boost tourism and trade.
Philippine Ambassador Jaime FlorCruz signed an agreement with VFS Global to implement the program for applicants in mainland China and its special administrative regions.
Qualified Chinese travelers can apply online for e-Visas valid for stays up to 14 days, entering through Manila or Cebu airports.
Those planning to stay longer must apply for a traditional visa at the Philippine Visa Application Centers in China.
The program aims to make visa applications more convenient and improve consular services, strengthening bilateral relations between the Philippines and China.
