Vice President Sara Duterte called on the public to support this month’s blood donation drive in observance of National Blood Donor Month, urging Filipinos to help save lives by donating safe and uncontaminated blood.
In a statement posted on the Office of the Vice President’s official Facebook page, Duterte emphasized how donated blood gives hope to patients and their families facing various health challenges.
She encouraged citizens to visit the nearest blood donation center and actively participate in the life-saving program.
The Department of Health (DOH) and Philippine Red Cross (PRC) continue to accept blood donations to maintain a stable national supply.
Those willing to help may donate at DOH-accredited centers, PRC facilities, or participate in local bloodletting activities, with more information available through PRC hotlines or website.
