The Dinagyang Festival of Iloilo City won two awards from the International Festival and Events Association-Asia: Best Overall Entertainment Program at the 2025 Pinnacle Awards Asia and Best Dynamic Festival (Dancing) at the Asia Festival Awards.
This marks the second consecutive year the festival has received these honors, making it the only awardee from the Philippines.
The awards were received by Eric Divinagracia and Elvert Bañares on March 21 in Gyeongju, South Korea, with Bañares calling it a “double blessing” for the country and Iloilo City.
The first award recognized Dinagyang’s comprehensive arts and entertainment programming, while the second praised its dynamic dance performances, blending tradition with innovation.
The awards reflect the strong partnership between the local government, private sector, and religious groups in organizing the festival, which honors the Santo Niño and celebrates the region’s rich cultural heritage.
