The Bureau of Customs (BOC) collected P934.4 billion in 2025, surpassing 2024’s revenue by 1.9% but falling short of its P958.7-billion target.
The agency faced challenges such as lower import volumes, a rice import suspension, and fluctuating global commodity prices.
BOC prioritized border protection, conducting 1,024 enforcement operations that seized P61.7 billion worth of smuggled or prohibited goods.
Chief Ariel Nepomuceno said the year highlighted the bureau’s commitment to integrity, service, and trust in daily operations.
He added that BOC aims to become faster, more transparent, and more reliable in 2026 to earn public confidence.
