CRISING AFFECTS 1.6 MILLION; DSWD PROVIDES ₱66M AID

Over 1.6 million individuals, or more than 481,000 families, have been affected by Severe Tropical Storm “Crising” and the southwest monsoon, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) reported Tuesday. 

The storm impacted 2,651 villages across 17 regions, with 14,190 families or 49,617 people seeking shelter in 501 evacuation centers. 

The government has provided over ₱66 million worth of humanitarian aid to affected communities. 

The DSWD said assessments and validations are ongoing to ensure accurate response and support. 

Relief efforts remain active as more areas continue to experience the storm’s effects.
