With less than two months to go before the May 12 midterm elections, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) announced it is 95% ready for election day.
Comelec Chairman George Garcia confirmed that the ballots are ready and undergoing a final verification process, while the printing of voters’ information sheets (VIS) is expected to be completed by March 25.
The VIS, which provides voter instructions and candidate choices, will be distributed nationwide from April 1 to 30.
Ongoing training for teachers who will serve on election duty is also underway.
Garcia added that internet voting enrollment is available, and personnel from the Philippine National Police and Armed Forces are ready for the elections.
