Parañaque City received seven awards at the DILG Urban Governance Exemplar Awards held on November 4 at Novotel, Quezon City.
Mayor Edwin Olivarez said the awards recognized the city’s exceptional progress in peace and order, youth and women’s services, and other governance initiatives.
The city was honored as a key partner in creating a Safe, Secure, and Drug-Free National Capital Region by the Peace and Order Council and Anti-Drug Abuse Council.
Other recognitions included excellence in child protection councils, anti-trafficking and violence prevention committees, and compliance with Manila Bay rehabilitation programs.
Parañaque also ranked in the Top 2 for the 2024 Regional Fisheries Compliance Audit and served as LGU host for the fourth quarter Tangguyob Convergence 2025.
