The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has approved a P41.4 million budget for the Independent Commission on Infrastructure (ICI) for 2025, covering operational and capital expenses, Executive Director Brian Keith Hosaka said.
The funding, ordered by the Office of the President, will support the commission’s efficiency and compliance with Executive Order No. 94.
The DBM also approved the creation of 172 contractual positions, including staff for legal, administrative, and special investigation departments.
The budget will prioritize salaries, equipment, and livestreaming resources for the ICI’s hearings on flood control anomalies.
Created in September, the commission has been investigating infrastructure issues across the country over the past 10 years.
