Allan Arbois Jr. and Jewel De Luna emerged as champions of the 42-kilometer race in the Galaxy Manila Marathon 2026 held along EDSA on Saturday.
Arbois topped the men’s division with a time of 2:31:16, while De Luna ruled the women’s category after finishing in 3:22:07.
The marathon attracted around 25,000 participants, including 6,000 runners in the 42K event, as athletes traversed EDSA through seven Metro Manila cities.
Organizers hailed the strong turnout as a testament to the growing running community in the Philippines, while the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority helped facilitate the race through extensive road closures.
Beyond the competition, RUNRIO donated P1 million to the Philippine Red Cross to support earthquake victims in Mindanao and highlighted the event’s role in promoting sports tourism.
