7-YEAR-OLD AKIO SILVOSA BAGS GOLD IN MILO-WILSON TENNIS FINALS

Seven-year-old Akio Silvosa from Lubao, Pampanga, claimed victory in the 2024 Milo-Wilson-Philta Tennis 10s division, earning a gold medal at the Malolos Sports Complex in Bulacan on December 30, 2024.

Despite falling short in a tournament last year, Silvosa’s perseverance and rigorous training paid off as he achieved his dream of becoming a rising tennis star.

Coached by his father Christopher and Glenn de Leon, the Grade 1 student aspires to be the Philippines’ top tennis player.

Silvosa plans to compete in another event in Olongapo this month.

Other winners in the Wilson-Philta tournament included Elythia Comia and Archelous Parungao in younger divisions, as well as standout players in the 12 to 18-Under categories.
