₱255.5 BILLION FLOOD CONTROL FUNDS REALLOCATED TO KEY PROJECTS BY PBBM

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. announced the reallocation of PHP255.5 billion originally meant for DPWH flood control projects in 2026 to fund priority programs across various agencies.

Nearly PHP36 billion will go to the Department of Social Welfare and Development to support social assistance programs like Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino.

The Department of Education will receive PHP26.55 billion for classroom construction, feeding programs, and special education initiatives.

Other allocations include PHP39.37 billion for the Department of Agriculture, PHP29.28 billion for the Department of Health, and PHP60 billion for the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation. 

Additional funds will be distributed to agencies like the Commission on Higher Education, Department of Labor and Employment, and Department of Transportation for various development and livelihood programs.
