Filipina tennis star Alex Eala arrived in the United States to prepare for the Indian Wells Open and Miami Open, two WTA1000 tournaments that could push her into the Top 30 rankings.
Eala has been in excellent form recently, highlighted by a quarterfinal finish in Dubai, semifinals in Auckland, and a strong showing at the Abu Dhabi Open.
Her performances have boosted her WTA ranking to No. 31, up 16 spots from last week, marking her rapid rise in the international circuit.
Before competing, she visited Nike’s World Headquarters in Oregon, where she was welcomed with portraits celebrating her achievements and growing global stardom.
Riding on her breakthrough Miami Open run last year, Eala aims to replicate or surpass her previous success as she competes against the world’s top players.
