Malacañang urged Vice President Sara Duterte to return to the Philippines to address the controversy surrounding her office’s confidential funds.
Palace Press Officer Claire Castro emphasized the need for Duterte to clarify the authenticity of questionable receipts linked to the Office of the Vice President’s expenditures.
The call came after the revelation of names like “Jay Kamote” and “Miggy Mango” among recipients of these funds, raising suspicions about their legitimacy.
The vice president is currently in the Netherlands with her father, former president Rodrigo Duterte, who is facing trial at the International Criminal Court.
Castro also called on former Palace spokesperson Harry Roque to return to the Philippines to face allegations related to his ties with illegal gambling operators.
