VISA, PHLPOST PARTNER TO BOOST FINANCIAL INCLUSION IN RURAL PH

Visa has partnered with the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) to enhance financial inclusion, particularly for rural communities and underserved sectors.

Under a new memorandum of understanding, Visa will modernize PHLPost’s financial services, including remittances for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and the disbursement of social welfare and disaster relief funds.

The collaboration will also promote financial literacy and support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Visa Philippines Country Manager Jeff Navarro emphasized the initiative’s role in easing financial burdens for OFWs, while Postmaster General Luis Carlos highlighted the goal of bridging financial gaps through digital payment solutions.

The partnership marks a step forward in ensuring secure and accessible financial services for more Filipinos.
