Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto said contractor spouses Sarah and Curlee Discaya are allegedly threatening former employees to prevent them from testifying in the P96.5-million “ghost” flood control project case in Davao Occidental.
Sarah Discaya was transferred to Cebu on Saturday for arraignment at Lapu-Lapu City Regional Trial Court Branch 27, while Curlee remains detained for a Senate contempt citation.
Sotto claimed the couple continues wrongful acts, including allegedly asking two congressmen for cash in exchange for not being included in the so-called “ledger.”
He urged the Discayas to reflect, show remorse, and develop a conscience, noting their statements and actions suggest otherwise.
The mayor emphasized that while the arrest is a good start, more individuals must still be held accountable in the ongoing investigation.
