The National University (NU) Lady Bulldogs secured their fourth consecutive win in the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball tournament by defeating the FEU Lady Tamaraws with a score of 25-17, 13-25, 25-17, 25-20 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
The high-scoring trio of Alyssa Solomon, Bella Belen, and Vange Alinsug led the Lady Bulldogs, collectively amassing 60 points. Solomon contributed 25 points, while Belen and Alinsug recorded 19 and 16 points, respectively.
Despite a setback in the second set, NU bounced back, dominating the third set and securing a decisive victory in the fourth. Gerzel Petallo led the Lady Tamaraws with 17 points, with Jean Asis adding 11.
With this win, NU’s season record stands at 4-1, while FEU’s drops to 2-3.
The Lady Bulldogs are set to face the UE Lady Red Warriors next, aiming to extend their winning streak, while the Lady Tamaraws will seek to bounce back against the Adamson Lady Falcons.
