Successive typhoons have caused P1.7 billion in damage to agriculture and infrastructure, leading to 32 areas being placed under a state of calamity, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported.
The worst-hit regions for agricultural damage were Cagayan Valley and Ilocos, while Ilocos also suffered the most infrastructure damage.
Over 520,000 families, or more than 2 million people, were affected across 15 regions, with more than 52,000 families currently staying in evacuation centers.
The death toll has risen to 19, with several deaths and missing persons still undergoing validation.
The NDRRMC has mobilized response agencies and distributed P57 million in relief aid to assist affected families.
