TESDA seeks to extend its agricultural internship program with Israel to equip Filipino farmers with advanced technologies and business skills.
Since 2020, the partnership with AgroStudies has provided 11-month internships focused on modern farming techniques, with 694 trainees currently in Israel.
TESDA is also exploring a collaboration with Botswana to enhance technical-vocational education and training (TVET).
Discussions with Botswana’s Ambassador Major General Gotsileene Morake (Ret.) highlighted joint initiatives for skills development.
TESDA Secretary Jose Francisco Benitez emphasized the importance of learning from global partners to improve local training programs and workforce competitiveness.
