Target is reducing prices on over 2,000 items, including snacks, toys, and cold medicine, to attract bargain-hunting shoppers during the holiday season.
The price cuts will apply to both national brands and Target’s private-label products, covering food, beverages, everyday essentials, and holiday gifts.
This strategy comes amid a shorter shopping period and rising consumer frugality, with rivals like Walmart also focusing on keeping essential prices low.
Target has previously lowered prices on at least 5,000 frequently purchased products and aims to reduce prices on over 10,000 items by the end of the holiday season.
Additionally, the retailer has hired around 100,000 seasonal workers to support increased demand during this busy period.
