Paramount Pictures has unveiled the first trailer for “A Quiet Place: Day One,” the upcoming third installment in the horror science fiction series created by John Krasinski.
Starring Lupita Nyong’o, the film serves as a spin-off prequel set in the same universe as the previous two movies.
Set in New York City on the day the world fell silent due to the arrival of extraterrestrial creatures with acute hearing, the movie explores the origins of the terrifying events depicted in “A Quiet Place.”
Directed by Michael Sarnoski, the cast also includes Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff, and Djimon Hounsou.
“A Quiet Place: Day One” is scheduled to hit US theaters on June 28.
