SC SLAMS FAKE NEWS ON ALLEGED MARCOS RESIGNATION PETITION

The Supreme Court denied sanctioning a circulating document claiming it received a petition from 16 million people demanding President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s resignation.

Supreme Court spokesperson Camille Ting warned that those spreading the false information would face legal action.

She also refuted claims that the court en banc would convene to deliberate on the alleged petition.

The court condemned these acts of disinformation, including previous false reports about a temporary restraining order.

The public was urged to rely only on official Supreme Court announcements.
