Rosegie Ramos has secured a spot for the Philippines at the Paris Olympics.
The 20-year-old athlete from Zamboanga clinched her berth following her performance in the women’s 49kg qualification at the IWF World Cup in Phuket, Thailand.
Ramos maintained her position in the top 10 of the IWF Olympic Qualification Ranking (OQR), with the World Cup serving as the final qualifying event for Paris.
She topped Group B with a total lift of 190kg, showcasing her prowess with lifts of 87kg in the snatch and 103kg in the clean and jerk.

More weightlifters, including Olympic champion Hidilyn Diaz, are expected to qualify as the World Cup continues until April 11, with Elreen Ando and Kristel Macrohon also set to compete.
