Bataan Rep. Geraldine Roman claimed that Vice President Sara Duterte has been antagonistic toward President Marcos since assuming office in 2022.
Roman’s statement follows Duterte’s remark that she was “scammed” by her UniTeam alliance with Marcos, prompting Malacañang to respond.
Roman suggested that Duterte may have had unmet expectations from the alliance after their 2022 election victory.
She also compared the current administration to former president Rodrigo Duterte’s leadership style, noting that he demanded near-blind loyalty from officials.
Roman implied that Duterte’s frustration might stem from differences in governance approaches between the two leaders.
