A road rage incident in Antipolo, Rizal, turned violent on Sunday when a driver, identified as 28-year-old businessman Kenneth, fired a pistol at four people during a confrontation along Marcos Highway.
The altercation, which began at 5 p.m. near a coffee shop in Sitio Calumpang, escalated when Kenneth shot his victims before fleeing the scene in his black Toyota Fortuner.
The victims, including a businessman and a college student, were wounded, with one suffering a gunshot wound to the head.
Police intercepted Kenneth at a checkpoint in Barangay Mayamot, where he was arrested after a hot pursuit operation.
Authorities also discovered Kenneth lacked the necessary permit to carry a firearm, violating the Commission on Elections gun ban.
