In a momentous event, the dreams of 63 beneficiaries from Barangay Sauyo blossomed into reality as they received the keys to their new homes in Almanova, Richland Drive, Novaliches, Quezon City. Thanks to the tireless efforts of the local government, these houses are no longer just aspirations, but tangible symbols of stability and comfort for the fortunate recipients.
Mayor Joy Belmonte, alongside District 6 Action Officer Atty. Mark Aldave and Housing Community Development and Resettlement Department Head Mr. Ramon Asprer, personally handed over the certificates and keys. This initiative, a cornerstone of the city’s vision, aims to provide secure and comfortable housing for all residents, ensuring everyone has a place to call home.
The promise of secure housing extends beyond these 63 families. An additional 54 beneficiaries from Districts 2, 3, 5, and 6 have found solace in the distribution of Transfer Certificates of Title under the ‘Direct Sale’ program. This program empowers long-time residents to become legitimate landowners, offering stability and a sense of belonging, provided they fulfill the agreed-upon terms of payment.
These examples paint a vivid picture of the diverse socialized housing programs flourishing under Mayor Belmonte’s leadership. From direct land purchases and contract-to-sell agreements to rental housing options and relocation initiatives, the city is weaving a safety net for its residents, ensuring no one is left behind.
These projects reflect the unwavering commitment of Mayor Belmonte and the Quezon City government to providing affordable housing and uplifting communities.
