Nearly 2,000 new doctors joined the Philippine healthcare workforce after passing the March 2025 Physician Licensure Examination (PLE), according to the Professional Regulation Commission.
Out of 3,827 examinees, 1,901 passed the exam held in various cities nationwide. Adrian Go of Cebu Institute of Medicine topped the board with 87.75%, followed by UST’s Joseph Benjamin Perez and a tie for third by fellow UST grads Aaron Terence Ibe and Kyle Patrick Magistrado.
Other topnotchers hailed from prestigious schools including UP Manila, West Visayas State University, and Our Lady of Fatima University.
His new batch of licensed physicians strengthens the country’s medical field at a crucial time for public health.
