The Philippines ranked 57th out of 100 countries in the 2024 World Happiness Report, dropping four spots from 53rd in 2023.
The country’s three-year average life evaluation score was 6.107, slightly higher than the previous year’s score of 6.048.
Among Southeast Asian nations, the Philippines was the fourth happiest, following Thailand, Vietnam, and Singapore.
Filipinos also ranked seventh in positive emotions, with 82.1% of people reporting positive feelings, while 34.6% experienced negative emotions.
Finland topped the rankings for the eighth consecutive year, with Nordic countries dominating the top spots, while the United States saw a decline in happiness, falling to 24th place.
