The Philippines and the United States unveiled a commemorative logo on February 5 to mark 80 years of diplomatic relations, launching a yearlong celebration of the alliance.
The event, held at the SM Mall of Asia Globe, was led by Philippine Ambassador Jose Manuel Romualdez and US Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Y. Robert Ewing.
The logo symbolizes eight decades of shared values, cooperation, and people-to-people ties between the two countries.
This year also marks the 75th anniversary of the Mutual Defense Treaty, highlighting the Philippines as Washington’s oldest treaty ally in the Indo-Pacific.
The countries continue to strengthen ties through joint military activities, economic partnerships, and ongoing collaboration in areas like health, education, and disaster response.
