Renowned actor Ronaldo Valdez, whose real name was Ronald James Dulaca Gibbs, passed away on Sunday at the age of 76, as confirmed by the Quezon City Police Department. The cause of his death has not been disclosed.
Valdez had a prolific acting career that spanned nearly six decades, leaving an indelible mark on the Philippine entertainment industry.
His most recent project was the romantic drama series “2 Good 2 Be True,” where he starred alongside former love team and real-life couple Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. In the series, he portrayed the character “Lolo Sir.”
Valdez is survived by his wife, Maria Fe Ilagan Gibbs, and his two children, Janno and Melissa Gibbs, both of whom are also well-known celebrities.
