He drew inspiration from historical struggles and called for unity and nationalism. The President addressed heightened tensions in the West Philippine Sea following recent aggressive actions by China.
Marcos also directed the Department of National Defense and Armed Forces of the Philippines to assess military equipment to support soldiers facing new challenges.
Additionally, he ordered a review of benefits for disabled soldiers, ensuring they were appropriately compensated for their sacrifices.
