The PBA is extending aid to victims of Typhoon Tino in Visayas and Super Typhoon Uwan in Luzon, providing construction materials and supplies to help restore livelihoods.
League Commissioner Willie Marcial said the PBA plans to give around P4 to P5 million in assistance to affected areas, including Bicol, Cebu, Negros, Catanduanes, and Aurora.
Marcial also intends to personally visit the provinces during the league’s three-week break and coordinate relief efforts with local government units.
PBA teams and players have expressed support, with some expected to join Marcial on the ground, while others have contributed through auctions of game-worn items.
