Barangay San Antonio in Pasig City has partnered with E88 Ventures, Inc. to launch the area’s first battery-swapping station for electric motorcycles, aiming to promote cleaner transport, reduce emissions, and provide faster mobility options.
The station, strategically located near General Segundo Street in Antonio Village, allows riders to swap depleted batteries for fully charged ones within seconds using a mobile app, eliminating long charging times.
Barangay Chairman Raymond Lising highlighted that the project supports sustainable mobility and benefits residents, commuters, and the community.
E88 Ventures emphasized the environmental impact, noting that the zero-emission batteries reduce air and noise pollution while providing flexible payment options, including a daily unlimited swapping plan.
Following this pilot project, the company plans to expand battery-swapping stations across Pasig City and other parts of Metro Manila.
