Lawmakers from Northern Luzon have expressed full support for House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III amid rumors of a possible leadership change in the House of Representatives.
The Northern Luzon Alliance, composed of 40 lawmakers including Majority Leader Ferdinand Alexander Marcos, released manifestos backing Dy’s speakership and President Marcos’ administration.
The alliance praised Dy for his steady leadership, respect for local autonomy, and focus on economic recovery, infrastructure, agriculture, and regional development.
They also reiterated support for Marcos’ anti-corruption initiatives and efforts to strengthen transparency, accountability, and ethical governance.
The show of support comes after Dy assumed office in September, following former Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez’s resignation, while no official leadership changes have yet taken place.
