The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has opened a Philippine Consulate in Szczecin, the capital of Poland’s West Pomeranian Voivodeship, to serve the northwestern and mid-northern regions of the country.
Philippine Ambassador to Poland Leah Basinang-Ruiz inaugurated the consulate on December 20, 2024, at the Business Club Szczecin.
This marks the first diplomatic post in the area since the Philippines and Poland established relations in 1973.
The consulate, located at Moniuszki 5/1, operates Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., excluding public holidays.
The establishment aims to strengthen ties and provide consular services to Filipinos in the region.
