The Navotas City government has approved a tax amnesty ordinance waiving penalties, surcharges, and interest on unpaid real property taxes, including the Special Education Fund, idle land tax, and other levies.
Mayor John Rey Tiangco urged residents and property owners to seize the opportunity, which is available until July 5, 2026.
The program, aligned with Republic Act 12001 or the Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act, seeks to provide relief for delinquent taxpayers while boosting the city’s revenue collection to fund essential services.
Property owners may settle their dues through one-time or installment payments, though the ordinance excludes properties already auctioned, under litigation, or covered by compromise agreements.
The city also reminded landowners that tax payments will only be accepted if both land and improvements are updated in compliance with existing ordinances.
