Mongolian Foreign Minister Battsetseg Batmunkh will visit the Philippines on May 19-20 for official talks, marking the first visit by a Mongolian foreign minister since 1984.
She is set to meet with Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., and Senate President Francis Escudero to review and strengthen bilateral relations.
The visit aims to explore new avenues for diplomatic cooperation and address strategic issues of mutual interest.
This trip reciprocates Manalo’s visit to Ulaanbaatar in August 2024, where they held the 4th Philippines-Mongolia Policy Consultations.
Discussions during that meeting focused on boosting trade, tourism, agriculture, English language training, and sports collaboration between the two countries.
