The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has reactivated its Metrobase 136 hotline to provide immediate assistance to motorists involved in minor accidents and traffic incidents.
Calls to the hotline are answered within five minutes, and MMDA constables are dispatched promptly to the scene.
The system allows operators to review CCTV footage while traffic enforcers are en route and send digital copies to the parties involved.
The reactivation aims to reduce disputes that cause congestion and road rage.
The five-minute response policy covers all public roads and highways under MMDA jurisdiction, including radial and circumferential roads.
