Marikina Mayor Marjorie Ann Teodoro defended her husband, Rep. Marcelino Teodoro, calling the rape and sexual assault charges against him “fiction” and “pure nonsense.”
She described her husband as a man of integrity and claimed the allegations, filed by two former policewomen assigned as his security, were part of a political plot to damage his reputation.
The mayor expressed confidence that the truth would come out and clear her husband’s name.
Meanwhile, the Women and Children Protection Center (WCPC) of the Philippine National Police condemned the unauthorized sharing of the victims’ affidavits on social media, emphasizing the importance of privacy and protection for survivors.
The WCPC urged the public to delete and stop reposting these sensitive documents to respect the rights and dignity of the victims.
