President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. urged Iloilo local government officials to coordinate with the national government in planning and implementing infrastructure projects.
Speaking at a Regional Development Council meeting, he emphasized the importance of local input and encouraged officials to raise concerns or proposals.
Marcos was briefed on major infrastructure projects in Western Visayas, including the Boracay Circumferential Road rehabilitation and the Jalaur River Multipurpose Project Stage III.
Updates were also provided on key projects such as the Panay-Guimaras-Negros Island Bridge, Panay Railway System, and Boracay Bridge Project.
Other developments discussed included the Bacolod-Negros Occidental Economic Highway and the Iloilo-Capiz-Aklan Expressway.
