President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has approved salary increases and tiered medical allowances for employees of government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs).
The adjustments, under the Compensation and Position Classification System II, will retroact to January 1, 2025, for GOCCs that already implemented the first phase upon approval from the Governance Commission for GOCCs.
Marcos announced during the GOCCs’ Day in Malacañang, where he also received dividend remittances totaling P116.84 billion from 53 corporations.
The President urged GOCCs to modernize systems, reduce red tape, and ensure better service delivery to the public.
He stressed that the benefits of GOCC operations should translate into improved services for all Filipinos.
