President Marcos departs today for Brunei and Singapore, marking his 26th and 27th foreign trips since taking office in 2022.
In Brunei, he will meet Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah to discuss economic cooperation, particularly in energy, and to sign agreements in agriculture, food security, maritime cooperation, and tourism.
Following this, Marcos will visit Singapore to deliver the keynote address at the Shangri-La Dialogue 2024, a significant security forum.
He will also meet Singaporean leaders to strengthen diplomatic ties as the two nations celebrate 55 years of relations.
Marcos aims to boost trade and investment opportunities, benefiting over 25,000 Filipinos in Brunei and addressing regional security challenges in Singapore.
