President Ferdinand Marcos has issued Executive Order No. 64, which raises government workers’ salaries and provides an additional annual medical allowance of PHP 7,000.
Signed by Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin on August 2, 2024, the order takes effect immediately, with salary increases implemented in four stages starting January 1, 2024.
The EO applies to all civilian government personnel across the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches, certain government-owned corporations, and local government units.
However, increases for the President, Vice President, and current Congress members will only take effect upon completing their terms.
The Department of Budget and Management will issue guidelines for the implementation of the order.
