Malacañang dismissed as “fake news” claims that President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. signed the 2025 national budget with blank sections, calling the accusations malicious and baseless.
Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin emphasized that every page of the 4,057-page budget underwent meticulous review by Congress and the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).
Bersamin invited the public to verify the budget on the DBM website, refuting allegations made by former President Rodrigo Duterte and allies about blank appropriations.
He stressed that the General Appropriations Act contains no discrepancies and called on critics to stop spreading falsehoods.
The Palace underscored the importance of responsible discourse, urging the public to rely on verified facts.
