In a recent announcement, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has urged the public to limit their outdoor activities as temperatures continue to rise.
According to weather specialist Grace Castaneda, the warm and humid weather can be attributed to the easterlies.
To avoid the scorching heat, PAGASA advises the public to minimize outdoor activities, particularly during noontime until mid-afternoon when temperatures are at their highest.
For those who must venture outside, it is recommended to bring protective measures against the heat and to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
Metro Manila is expected to experience temperatures of up to 34 degrees Celsius, while Tuguegarao City will reach a sizzling 36 degrees Celsius.
However, the heat index, which combines relative humidity with the air temperature, is expected to be even higher.
