Dr. Alicor Panao of UP Diliman emphasized that expanding fiber networks, ensuring competitive pricing, and fostering service innovation are key to narrowing the digital gap.
He noted that fast and reliable internet is essential for national resilience, especially as climate risks and online learning demands grow.
Panao added that in a country prone to typhoons and class suspensions, connectivity is a vital lifeline for education, work, and recovery.
