Creamline regained their winning momentum in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference after a decisive victory over Capital1 Solar Energy.
The Cool Smashers dominated the match with a straight-set win, securing scores of 25-18, 25-14, 25-15 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
This victory came after their recent defeat to Chery Tiggo Crossovers, which fueled their determination to bounce back stronger. Led by team captain Alyssa Valdez, Creamline showcased a solid performance, with Tots Carlos leading the scoring with 14 points.
Valdez highlighted the team’s focus on improvement and correction of mistakes after the loss, emphasizing the motivation driving them in the competition.
With this win, Creamline maintains its position at the top of the league standings. The Cool Smashers’ triumph also marked a significant moment for Valdez, who faced her former coach Roger Gorayeb on the opposing side.
Gorayeb, a respected figure in volleyball, has battled and triumphed over cancer, adding depth to the match’s significance for Valdez. Capital1 Solar Energy, meanwhile, fell to a 1-5 record following the defeat.
